Idea statuses explained
Every label Serpio shows about your idea feed and your content focuses, with what each one means and what to do next.

Serpio shows a handful of short labels about ideas: a chip on the Your writing context card, the empty state inside the Idea workbench, and a readiness line in the Generate article form. This page lists every one of them. Statuses describe whether Serpio can suggest ideas right now. None of them says anything about the quality of an article you generate.
Where the labels appear
- Your writing context, the small card in the right-hand column of Home, shows one chip summarising your idea feed and one for your brand voice.
- The Idea workbench replaces its tiles with a heading and a sentence when there is nothing to show.
- The Generate article form shows a readiness line under CONTENT NICHE for the focus you select.
Idea feed labels
These appear as the first chip on the Your writing context card.

Workbench empty states

Two more states appear on a brand-new site: Preparing your first 10 ideas, with a counter, and Your first collection needs more research when ten minutes pass without a full collection. An amber banner reading Couldn't refresh ideas. Your current ideas are still here. means a refresh failed but nothing was lost.
Content focus readiness
The Generate article form shows a readiness line under CONTENT NICHE. The workbench uses the same states to choose its empty state. The raw names in the first column appear only in support conversations; the second column is what you actually see.

Common questions
A focus shows ideas ready but the workbench is empty. Why?
The first collection is not shown until ten app-owned ideas have been stored. Shared research can be ready while the content engine is still assembling that complete set.
Does a preparing or failed status affect articles I generate?
No. It affects whether Serpio can suggest ideas. A topic you type still gets fresh research when you generate.
How long does preparing take?
Usually a few minutes for a new focus. The workbench checks every fifteen seconds for up to ten minutes, then asks you to check again.
