Plans and writing credits

Serpio sells one thing by the month: articles. Every plan is a monthly quota of writing credits, a number of sites, and a ceiling on how fast the calendar may schedule. This guide lays the tiers side by side, explains how a credit is counted, and tells you what changes when you upgrade.

The four plans

INR prices include GST; nothing is added at checkout. USD is charged to customers outside India. See Billing, payments and refunds for how the currency is chosen.

The cadence column is a ceiling, not a schedule. Generation is something you trigger, from an idea or a saved topic. The ceiling only limits how many articles per day the calendar will let you line up. On Free and Starter that is one; Growth allows up to four; Scale up to twelve. Nothing is written for you overnight unless you planned it.

What Free includes and excludes

• Included: site analysis and the Site Report, the idea feed, article generation with SEO and GEO scores, the Knowledge Base, and guided exports so you can publish by hand on any platform.
• Excluded: native publishing connections. On Free, connecting a CMS returns the message "Native publishing connections are available on every paid Serpio plan. Manual exports remain available on Free." Channel cards show Upgrade in place of Connect.
• Excluded: the Brand Book, which shows a locked preview on Free.

How a credit is counted

Period

A UTC calendar month, from the first of the month at 00:00 UTC to the first of the next. This is not your billing cycle. If you subscribe on the 20th, your credits still reset on the 1st.

Scope

The whole account. Credits are pooled across every site you own. Growth's 100 and Scale's 300 are explicitly shared across domains.

What consumes one

A completed article. Serpio creates the article record only after the writer has produced a readable draft. A generation that fails before that point creates nothing and costs nothing. Retrying a failed job costs nothing either.

What does not refund one

Rejecting, editing or deleting a finished article. Once it was written, it counted.

Where to see usage

• Home: the Writing credits card shows used of total with a progress bar, a View plan link, and the line "Shared across your sites. Used when you generate an article."
• Sidebar: the credits block shows articles remaining out of the limit. A Details toggle opens a per-site breakdown of how many each domain has used this month.
• Account: the Plan card reads "N of M articles used this period" with a Manage billing button.

When credits run out

Generation stops; nothing else does. A generate request past the limit is refused with a message that names your plan and its monthly article limit and ends "Upgrade to keep generating." On the Articles page this opens a dialog titled You've hit your monthly limit, showing your plan, used against total, the date the limit resets, and two buttons: Not now and View plans. The Home card switches to "You've used this period's credits. Your ideas are still available to plan."

You can keep saving ideas, scheduling them, editing drafts, publishing what is already written, and refreshing the Knowledge Base. On the first of the month the count returns to zero. Read Generating an article for what a generation involves.

How an upgrade applies to credits

Your plan changes the moment Razorpay confirms the new subscription is active. The quota reads the plan's limit live, so the limit goes up immediately. The count does not reset. If you have used 3 of 3 on Free and move to Starter on the 18th, you now show 3 of 30, with 27 left until the 1st. Upgrading does not buy a fresh month; it raises the ceiling on the current one.

Downgrades work the other way round and take effect at the end of the paid cycle, so the higher limit stays until then. Moving to Free keeps paid features until the cycle ends.
