Serpio treats a site as a workspace. Analysis, ideas, articles, Knowledge Base, Brand Book and connections all hang off one domain. The account sits above that: one plan, one pool of credits, one sign-in. This guide is about running more than one workspace under that account.
When a second site makes sense
- You publish under two brands with different audiences or voices. One voice profile cannot serve both.
- You run a product site and a separate content property, and want a separate idea feed and Knowledge Base for each.
- You are an agency with client sites. Each client gets its own workspace, and you allocate one pool of credits between them.
A second language version of the same site is a weaker case: the Knowledge Base and Brand Book would be duplicated. Check whether your current site's settings can cover it before adding a domain.
How plans count sites
| Plan | Sites | Articles per month |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 3 |
| Starter | 1 | 30 |
| Growth | 3 | 100, shared |
| Scale | 10 | 300, shared |
Sites are a plan attribute, not a per-site fee. Growth and Scale are the multi-site plans; Free and Starter are built around one domain. Credits are pooled, so three Growth sites draw from one hundred articles between them. See Plans and writing credits.
Adding a site
- 1
Open the site switcher
In the top bar, the site button shows the current site's name and focus, with a Working on label on wide screens. Click it.
- 2
Choose Add site
Add site sits at the bottom of the list. You land on the setup panel titled Add a new site, marked Step 1 of 2.
- 3
Enter the domain
The Website URL field takes just the domain; the note says Serpio adds
https://for you. Invalid addresses are flagged before you can submit. - 4
Click Analyze site
The Analyze site button reads Starting analysis… and Serpio begins the same readiness scan it ran on your first site. The footer says analysis continues in the background and you can switch sites or come back later.
The new site becomes active immediately. Until its analysis finishes, most sidebar items are locked with the tooltip "Available once site analysis finishes"; Home stays open so you can watch progress. See Adding your site for the review steps that follow.
Switching
Open the switcher and click any site. The list shows each domain with its focus or its setup status: Analyzing, Analysis failed, or Ready to review when the profile still needs confirming. A small dot marks whether a publishing destination is connected. Switching takes you to Home for that site, and every section then shows that site's data: its report, ideas, articles, calendar, Knowledge Base, Brand Book, connections and settings.
Serpio remembers your last active site in the browser, so you return to it after a reload. An amber border on the switcher means at least one site has a setup status worth opening the menu for.
What is per site, what is shared, and how to share credits
| Per site | Shared across the account |
|---|---|
| Site Report and re-analysis | Plan and its limits |
| Content focuses, brand voice, target audience | Writing credits, one monthly pool |
| Publishing platform answer and scheduled-delivery settings | Currency, subscription and invoices |
| Knowledge Base documents and URLs | Your profile, email and password |
| Brand Book and its brief | Nothing else |
| Connections and publishing history | |
| Ideas, calendar and articles |
The settings page says it plainly: changes apply only to this domain. If two sites should sound alike, set the voice twice. See A tour of workspace settings.
Credits are the shared item that needs the most thought. Serpio does not ration credits per site. Any site can use any remaining credit until the pool is empty. To see who is spending, open the credits block in the sidebar and click Details; it lists each site with the articles it has generated this UTC month. If one site is running away with the pool, plan fewer ideas on its calendar. There is no per-site cap to set.
Removing a site
There is no remove or delete control for a site in the dashboard, and the API has no such action either. A site you stop using stays in the switcher and keeps its data. It does not consume credits unless you generate articles for it. The only way to remove sites is to delete the whole account, which removes all of them together; see Account settings. If you need a single domain removed, contact support.
Common questions
Can I move a site to another Serpio account?
No. Sites belong to the account that created them. Add the domain from the other account and run a fresh analysis.
Do I need Growth for a second domain?
Growth includes three sites and Scale ten. Free and Starter include one.
Do connections carry over between sites?
No. Each site has its own connections, even to the same CMS provider. Connect each one on its Connections page.
